New Trailers: The Wheel of Time, The Witcher, Lightyear, House of Gucci, and more

I am close to quitting The Morning Show. The latest episode spends too much time building up to a twist that doesn't make sense considering the season thus far. There are only three episodes remaining and there is a lot more to come. Succession is turning out to be a good show. The Roy siblings are choosing sides and I'm getting involved in Maid, mainly due to Margaret Qualleys excellent performance as Alex.
There is so much to see, and so little time.

This week's roundup was heavy on sci-fi, fantasy and other realms. However, there is a bit of fashion and murder-mystery.

The Wheel of Time

Although we've seen glimpses of The Wheel of Time, based on Robert Jordan's books, this trailer shows the beginning of the story with Moiraine Damodred of Aes Sedai trying find a way to stop the Dark One. Five magic-using people are the ones she believes could save the world. The Wheel of Time's first episode, featuring Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney and Josha Stradowski stars Zoe Robins. It will be available on Amazon Prime Video November 19th.

Note: This trailer can be viewed 360. I didn't find it to add much, but it was interesting.

The Witcher

We've seen some teasers, sneak peeks, and first-look clips of the second season of The Witcher. Now we have a full length trailer that gives us all the details. The Nilfgaardian Empire's war is imminent, as well as the end of the world (which Geralt laughs at). Geralt is out hunting huge monsters and Ciri is taping into her powers, while Jaskier is making friends with small rodents (rats). mice? Something else? Season 2 of The Witcher will premiere on Netflix December 17th.

Lightyear

Finally, there is a Pixar movie which doesn't immediately seem like it will break the hearts of parents. (Honestly, I am still traumatized from Inside Out and Toy Story 3). Lightyear tells the story of the astronaut who inspired the Buzz Lightyear action figure in Toy Story. The teaser depicts what appears to be a familiar space exploration adventure with the necessary aliens and spaceships. Chris Evans is the hero's voice. Lightyear will be available June 17, 2022.

House of Gucci

The second trailer of the movie about Gucci Family stars Lady Gaga. Everyone looks stunning and beautiful, even if the accents of the leading actors in Italy are a bit off. House of Gucci is based on Sara Gay Forden's book. It tells the story of Patrizia Reggianis' marriage to Maurizio Gucci, Adam Driver (Adam Driver), as well as her plot to hire an assassin to kill him. House of Gucci, which opens in theaters November 24, stars Jared Leto and Al Pacino as well as Jeremy Irons and Salma Hayek.

Servant

You can only show me so many darkly lit, long hallways before it gets boring. This show was promising in its first season. Lauren Ambrose is a great Dorothy. But by season three, it defies logic and is so sadistic that Dorothy's family continues to conceal the truth about her baby. They might finally do the right thing. The show seems to be more interested in Leanne, the servant of the title,'s cult. You can watch season three of Servant on Apple Plus TV beginning January 21st if you still want to see a M. Night Shyamalan plot twist.
