Norwich City 1-2 Leeds United: Rodrigo hits winner at Carrow Road

After a defeat at Carrow Road against Leeds United, bottom club Norwich City is still without a Premier League win.

After a slow start, Raphinha broke through three players to give the visitors a 56-minute lead.

Norwich levelled within two minutes after Andrew Omobamidele, a 19-year-old defender, headed home from a corner Illan Meslier had conceded.

After Norwich lost possession in their box, Rodrigo's long range effort gave Leeds an advantage.

The Canaries showed an improvement after last week's 7-0 loss at Chelsea. However, Daniel Farke's team have lost eight of the 10 matches they played since winning the Championship last season with 97 points.

James was closest to scoring in first half, after he had rounded Tim Krul. Grant Hanley was able to stop his attempt.

Although the hosts showed more interest than at Stamford Bridge they were unable to attack with any real threat.

Mathias Normann and Teemu Pukki both came close to scoring their first goals, but Milot Rashica was able to save the day with a free kick.

Norwich felt that they should have been penalized in the first stages of the match when James was hit with the ball, but referee Anthony Taylor dismissed their appeals.

Farke under Pressure

Stuart Webber, Norwich's sporting director, came out fighting against the Chelsea disaster. He stated that "we have not come into the league to be tourists", and reminded the club's critics of the fact that the Canaries were 11th most expensive Europeans during the summer transfer window.

Farke and his team are now in the midst of a miserable quarter of the season.

Eight defeats in ten games, only three goals scored and conceding at 2.5 per match.

After their London rout, this was a must win. Although there was some improvement, Norwich is still eight points away from safety. Fans are now wondering where the next point - or even victory - will come from.

Leeds has struggled and arrived at Carrow Road with a single win. Farke is hoping this match will finally kickstart his season.

Norwich are now on two points, five more than they were at the same stage last season when they were relegated after only three games.

As the visitors celebrated their first away win of the campaign, the players looked confused.

Leeds has struggled to find that momentum last season without injured trio Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling.

They started the game in the bottom three, but Raphinha's attack proved to be a real strength, and they are now four points behind Leicester, which they host next Sunday.
