This might be the coolest Halloween space pumpkin.
Rebecca Siegel, author of "To Fly Among the Stars" (Scholastic, 2020) and "Mayflower" (Quarto, 2020), took her passion for space to new heights this Halloween with spectacular Apollo-inspired pumpkin carving. Siegel, the author "To Fly Among the Stars", (Scholastic 2020) and "Mayflower," (Quarto 2020), shared photos of pumpkins she carved to celebrate Halloween. The pumpkins depicted NASA's Saturn V rocket launching off. It was so complex and intricate that it covered multiple pumpkins.
"One pumpkin is not enough to do justice to the Saturn V." You could even have two. Space history family, happy Halloween! Siegel posted the photos on Twitter along with her handiwork.

This design is a spitting picture of the Saturn V rocket during launch. NASA used the Saturn V rocket between 1967 and 1973. It was designed for the Apollo program and launched all Apollo lunar missions. The launch took place from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The rocket also launched Skylab in 1973, the first U.S. satellite station, after the 1972 last crewed lunar landing.
Siegel tagged NASA History Office's Twitter account in her post. Siegel also re-shared rocket pumpkins:
We love it to the Moon! Happy Halloween! With a variety of starry-eyed, smiling emojis.
Siegel isn't the first person to bring her passion for space into home decor. She previously carved a pumpkin featuring the image of NASA's Friendship 7 astronaut John Glenn, who flew in as part of NASA's Mercury program in 1962.
