Microsoft Overtakes Apple as World's Most Valuable Company

Microsoft has overtaken Apple to become the world's most valued company. The Cupertino tech titan is now the second most valuable, after Aramco, the Saudi oil giant.

Microsoft currently has a market value at $2.46 trillion while Apple is at $2.43 trillion. Apple's market decline follows disappointing quarterly earnings results, according to Wall Street analysts and experts. This was despite strong growth in product categories.

In May, a report highlighted the ways in which Apple and Microsoft will be more competitive. The rivalry between the two companies is likely to increase as they continue to invest in artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
