If you are looking for Dolby Atmos sound, you don't need to purchase a Lucid Air. Mercedes will equip all models with Atmos audio that include its latest MBUX interface, which was introduced with the S-Class's latest S-Class model, and an optional Burmester 3D/4D sound system. You will hear compatible music regardless of whether you are driving. Although it may not sound as live as Mercedes claims, it is a significant improvement over stereo sound.
There are 31 speakers in the 4D system, six of which create the 3D effect above. Four more speakers are located in the front seats. All four seats include two sound transducers (aka exciters) each. You'll be satisfied regardless of audio processing if you add 1750W total power (including a 18.5-liter subwoofer).
Don't expect to buy an Atmos-equipped vehicle right away. This format will be first available in the Mercedes-Maybach's summer 2022 and then in the S-Class shortly thereafter. You might not be able to buy an A-Class with Atmos anytime soon, though other models will follow.
