Meta, the new name for the company that was formerly Facebook, has been announced. While the name change raises many questions, The Verge has been wondering for over 30 minutes about one: How does Meta change the acronym that was used to denote the largest tech companies in one go?
The most popular acronym was FAANG Facebook, Apple Amazon, Netflix, Google, and Amazon. However, that acronym doesn't work. Google is technically part of Alphabet at the moment, so it should have a third A. (FAAAN?) It's missing Microsoft, which is as massive as any of the other companies. You could argue that Tesla should be included in the acronym conversation, particularly now that its market capital has surpassed $1 trillion.
We have compiled a list of possible Big Tech acronyms that could be used instead of Meta. Before we get started, these are the letters we were playing with: Apple and Amazon, Alphabet, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Netflix. The short version is A, A and A / G M, M. N. T.

ANTMAN (Apple and Netflix, Tesla, Meta. Amazon, Nicrosoft [it's okay to question it, it works])
Or, you could just say Facebook and Google and then swap Microsoft for Netflix.
