Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks will give away bitcoin to anyone who downloads Voyager Digital within the next 36 hours.

According to Bobby Karalla (digital content manager for the NBA), every person who downloads this app will receive $100 worth of bitcoin until October 30, at 11:59 PM CT.

This perk is part of the five-year basketball partnership with Voyager Digital, a cryptocurrency platform. It's the first such tie up for both entities.

The agreement includes the right to rename Mavs Gaming Hub. This is the official venue for gaming and events of the Mavs NBA 2K League. No name has been announced yet.

Voyager CEO Steve Ehrlich stated that the platform joined forces with the Mavs because of its leadership in the NBA and Cuban's deep knowledge of digital-assets space.

Cuban has been open about his crypto beliefs. He recently referred to dogecoin and the crypto boom as fun investments.

Voyager Digital was founded in 2018 and allows over 2,000,000 verified users to trade more than 60 currencies. This platform is part of a growing number crypto companies that are looking to get into the sports market.

Coinbase Global, for example, signed a multiyear partnership agreement with the NBA on October 19. FTX signed a $135m deal earlier this year for the naming rights of the Miami Heat's stadium. In June, Major League Baseball partnered with FTX to become the first cryptocurrency exchange sponsor in professional sport.
