Alienware’s new Aurora R13 comes with Intel’s 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU

The Alienware Aurora R13 gaming computer comes with Intel's 12th Gen Alder Lake chips and a new design. There are a variety of Nvidia graphics card options, including Core i5-12600KF and Core i9-1200KF.
Alienwares Legend 2.0 chassis has been redesigned and displayed on the R13. This is supposed to improve airflow. You can also add $70 to your purchase by purchasing a clear side panel. The case can be opened without tools. This makes it simple to modify components and start customizing.

Alienware has introduced the Aurora Ryzen Edition R14, which ships with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor. However, this is not the only difference about the machine. The R13 is available in white (dark side the Moon) or black (lunar light), but the R14 can only be purchased in black. The Legend 2.0 case will be available on the R14 despite the color difference.

The R13 has more hardware options than the R14 thanks to the 12th Gen Alder Lake Chip. The R13 supports 128GB DDR5 RAM while the R14 can only support 128GB DDR4 RAM. You can also install the Alienware Cryo-Tech special edition CPU liquid cooler on the R13. This liquid cooler has a 120mm radiator and a pump speed up to 2800RPM.

For both builds, the highest-rated power supplies are 750W Platinum. The storage options on the R13 or R14 are the same. You can select up to a 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD or 2TB SATA HDD. Windows 11 is included on both the R13 & R14.

Alienwares has the Aurora R13 available right now. Prices start at $1,479.99 The R14, on the other hand, is slightly less expensive at $1,249.99. Dell also announced its first XPS Desktop with liquid cooling. It also features the 12th Gen Intel Core CPU, but it has a more subtle look. The XPS will be available in the fall and start at $919.99

It is tempting to buy a prebuilt Alienware PC to grab RTX 3080 or 3090 graphics cards, as they are scarce. The R13 and R14 build options allow you to choose between an Nvidia RTX3080 Ti, 3080 Ti, or 3090. Although the price will vary depending on which one you choose, it will likely be less than if one were purchased from a scalper.
