It has begun: Samsung's new tablet reportedly has MacBook Pro-like notch

Apple's iPhone X was the first iPhone to feature the notch. Other competitors laughed at it and copied it on their phones.
We may now be in a new era where non-Apple companies launch tablets and laptops with a MacBook Pro-like design.

Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @onleaks and Leaker of tech items, has published purported renderings of the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra tablet. It has a small notch at the top.

Although the notch on the MacBook Pro is just as acceptable when it's in horizontal mode, it can look a little odd when it's flipped vertically with the notch on the side. The device is not yet confirmed, so it may have a different design. We'll find out more about it when it launches.

According to Hemmerstoffer's data the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra appears incredible, even with the notched display. It features a 14.6 inch display, dual rear cameras and quad speakers. There is also support for Samsung's S Pen which can be attached via a magnetic strip.

According to the same report, Samsung will soon launch two additional tablets: the Galaxy Tab S8+ (12.4 inches) and the Galaxy Tab S8+ (12.4 inches). The report suggests that all the above-mentioned devices could launch in November or Dec, but the global shortage of chips might delay it until 2022.
