According to Boise police chief Ryan Lee, the incident occurred after reports that at least one person had been shot. Police arrived at the scene and exchanged gunfire with the suspect. Lee stated that two people were killed and six others, including a police officer, were hurt. The suspect was taken into police custody. However, officers continue to search the mall for other suspects.
