The Chiefs lost against the Titans.
After taking a head hit, Patrick Mahomes was forced to withdraw from Sunday's match against the Tennessee Titans.
The Chiefs trailed 27-3 at the end of the fourth quarter. They were trying to win it on fourth-and-18 from Titans' 25 yard line. Mahomes was pressured after taking the snap. He was first encircled by Titans defensive end Denico Autry.
Jeffery Simmons, Titans' defender, came up to end the play with Mahomes still in place. Simmons was able to contact Mahomes' head with his thigh as Mahomes dived into the hit.
Mahomes was wobbly after the hit and was assisted off the field by his team-mates.
Mahomes did not return to the game and was replaced by backup quarterback Chad Henne on the Chiefs' final drive.
The Chiefs lost 27-3. This was the Chiefs' first loss without a touchdown since Super Bowl LV, when they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
