James Maddison scored his last goal in a 2-1 victory against Aaton Villa, 21 February
James Maddison scored his first goal since February, as Leicester continued their recent success with victory at Brentford.
Youri Tielemans, who scored the first goal for the visitors with a spectacular strike from the outside of the box, drove an unstoppable effort to the back of the net.
Kasper Schmeichel, Foxes goalkeeper, tipped over an Ivan Toney header shortly before half-time. However, the hosts equalised the match on the hour when Mathias Jorgensen flung home a header in a corner.
Brentford tried to score a goal, but were stopped by a swift Leicester attack in the 73rd.
Tielemans was a fantastic player in sending Patson Daka, the substitute, away. He also squared for Maddison so that he could fire home.
This victory saw Leicester beat Manchester United 4-2 last Saturday and move up to 9th in the Premier League, while Brentford moved up to 12th.
Finally, Maddison and Foxes find form
After a slow start to their season, where they lost three out of six games, Leicester has settled into their stride over the past seven days.
They won their third consecutive win in all competitions. The victory against Manchester United was followed by a thrilling 4-3 comeback win against Spartak Moscow in Europa League midweek.
However, the key players will also find their goalscoring form, which will be just as satisfying as the Leicester results.
Belgian Tielemans now boasts two goals in his last two league matches, and the brilliant strike against Brentford is reminiscent of his FA Cup-winning goal against Chelsea in May.
Youri Tielemans scored two goals in his two Premier League matches.
Daka, however, was the star of the show with four goals in Europe midweek and an assist in this match.
Foxes fans will be especially pleased to see Maddison return on the scoresheet.
The season began with a tough start for the midfielder. He was forced to sit out six games in September, October and November as he struggled finding his form.
However, he was superb against United and has only gone from strength-to-strength, getting an assist for Daka's fourth against Spartak and now on the mark against the Bees.
Brendan Rodgers, Leicester boss, had stated earlier this week that he believes Maddison is regaining his swagger and it certainly seems so.
Jamie Vardy, who had played the first period with a slight niggle, was the only disappointment for the visitors at half-time.
Rodgers stated that he felt something in his knee during the warm-up. He played the first half but it was obvious that he wasn't up to his standard. We're hopeful that things will improve over the next few days.
