GLENDALE (Ariz.) -- Kliff Kingsbury, Arizona Cardinals coach, has passed the NFL's COVID-19 protocol. He will be back on the sidelines for Sunday's match against the Houston Texans.

Kingsbury was positive for COVID-19 last Tuesday, Oct. 15. He missed the Cardinals' win by 37 points over the Cleveland Browns. A source informed ESPN that Kingsbury had taken three tests on the same day, and another early on October 16 to confirm his diagnosis. According to a source, Kingsbury was unsymptomatic all the time.

Kingsbury required two negative tests within 24 hours of his return. The first was Saturday morning, and the second was Sunday morning. There was strong belief that Kingsbury would return to the sidelines after Saturday's negative test. Arizona is looking to improve its 7-0 record.

Kingsbury was vaccinated and was sent home to wait for the results. However, Vance Joseph, the defensive coordinator, stated that Kingsbury was still doing the "everything" he normally does as the head coach.

Joseph stated, "Obviously, the offensive plan, and he has obviously built that this week." "There have been several virtual meetings with the offensive staff and the entire team, obviously. Nothing has changed in terms of who is currently building the game plan, and that's Kliff.
