Wow: 80,000 Points For New Citi Premier Card [Now Transferrable To American]

Citi Premier Card

Citibank's largest-ever initial bonus is now available. Earn 80,000 bonus points for every $4,000 you spend within the first three months of account opening.

This $95 annual fee card earns you 3 points for every dollar spent in restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, air travel, and hotels. This is a wide range of categories that can earn triple points.

This is actually the second best bonus offer available, even if you are not eligible to earn 100,000 points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card because of 5/24 or any other reason.

Citi Prestige has been removed from the cardmembers' list. Citi Premier Card, Citi's rival in transferable points, is now available for new cardmembers. They are increasing their investment to attract more customers. The card comes with 80,000 points, which is an attractive reason to apply.

The transfer partners are strong, and sometimes quite rare. Qatars Privilege Club has greatly improved, and is now compelling for QSuites redemptions.

Virgin Atlantic miles can be less expensive than other currencies, but they offer incredible sweet spots.

Turkish Airlines offers 48-hour award hold so that you can lock down an award before you transfer points. Redposit and cancel fees are only $25 United offers 12,500 miles round-trip for first class from the United States to the Caribbean and Hawaii. Europe has 45,000 miles for business class and India 52,500 (plus fuel surcharges).

Singapore Airlines is a great option for booking award flights in Singapore premium long-haul cabins. EVA Airways is a great program that's often overlooked.

This card is great with the Citi Custom CashSM Card, which has no annual fees. It offers a 5% return on certain categories. These categories change monthly based on your spending habits. Transfer the points to your Citi Premier Card account or transfer them into frequent flyer programs.
