Shakur Stevenson stops Jamel Herring to win the WBO super-featherweight title

Shakur Stevenson (right), an undefeated wrestler, has a record of 17 victories and nine knockouts.

American Shakur Stevenson defeated Jamel Herring in 10 rounds to win the WBO super-featherweight title.

Stevenson, 24, has been unbeaten and is now a champion at two weight after defeating Herring, 35. Herring had previously retired Carl Frampton in April after he stopped him in April.

Herring was unable to handle Stevenson's speed and power. He cut his eye in the ninth before the referee intervened.

Stevenson said, "I wanted everything to be shown tonight."

"I wanted to fight: Show my skills, my boxing, and my power.

The Olympic silver medallist, a former featherweight champion, said: "I want be a star in the sport; it's my goal to last."

Herring lost his third fight in 26 and Stevenson was knocked out nine times.

Ali's grandson wins the second fight

Undercard: Muhammad Ali's grandson Nico Ali Walsh won his second professional bout with a third round knockout of James Westley II.

Ali Walsh, 21 years old, took some punches in the first round but lost to Westley in Round 2. Westley's corner won the match after another knockdown in the third.

Ali Walsh, who made it his debut in August, said that he was blessed to be following the legacy of his grandfather.

"I believe everyone who loves my grandfather, who's watching me, I love this legacy that we're continuing."
