Young Justice's Future Is Up to Its Fans, Again

Young Justice is a good show, most of the times. After it was cancelled by Cartoon Network in 2013, its fans managed to secure a third season for HBO Max a few years later. You would think that the fans would have already secured a fifth season with the cancellation of Young Justice and the recently aired season four. However, Greg Weisman, showrunner, says that this is not true.

On Weismans website, he answers fans' questions and updates his work. The man behind short-lived shows like Gargoyles or Spectacular spider-Man invited viewers to watch the show. He said that season five doesn't seem like a guarantee, but he encouraged fans to watch as much of the super spy show as possible to make it a reality. The creators of the show have many more stories to tell. He wrote that fans would like more Earth-16 (the universe in which the series is set) and that the answer is simply #KeepBingingYJ (all 4 seasons). You can do it again and again. Help us spread the word! We want to #SaveEarth16.

It's not hard to see that Weisman's words were quite obvious. Watch the show on official channels if possible, wild idea! But it was more surprising that WB had not locked the show up for multiple seasons after announcing its return in 2016. Given how popular DCs TVs are, and especially their animated offerings, it was easy to see why WB didn't lock the show in for multiple seasons when they announced its return in 2016. Although it can be annoying, this is what viewers have to do if they want their favorite shows to survive.

Young Justice: Phantoms' first three episodes are now available on HBO Max. New episodes air weekly on Thursdays.
