Fans have created some of the most incredible Lego sets over the past decade. This week, Lego Ideas revealed its largest Lego Ideas set to date. It's Kevin McCallister's iconic home from Home Alone and it measures 3,955 pieces. There are hidden references and many Kevins booby traps.
Kevin can slide down the steps on his sled and land Marv a clothes iron, zipline down his treehouse, smash the shelves that release Buzzs Tarantula, and drop a paint bottle. Lego has even recreated the basement furnace's opening jaws. There is a light-up brick that can glow and a gear to turn to spin the train set. Kevin also disguised himself as a person to make it appear like someone was at home.
You can open the whole building up as a dollhouse. The roof opens up to reveal a full attic space. Each floor can also lift off if desired. The Brothers Brick also note that the build has a few new bricks: The door with the pet flap and the cat flap are both brand-new.
Sets on sale for $250 starting November 1st. These images will be shared with you.
Here's more information about the 26 year-old Ukrainian designer who created the original Lego Ideas set. You can also see the original design. This set was also approved by Lego from The Office to be its next licensed property. Metroid is still my favorite.
