Club Bruges beat Manchester City 5-1 in Tuesday's Champions League match
According to the East Flanders public procuror, two men are still in custody after appearing before a court regarding an attack on a Manchester City fan.
After City had defeated Club Bruges in a Champions League group match on Tuesday, the incident took place in Belgium.
After challenging someone with his scarf, the Belgia-based City fan was returning to Belgium when Drongen attacked him.
The supporter is currently in a coma, and his condition can be described as stable.
The incident led to five men being arrested, four of them in their 20s, and one in their 40s. They appeared in court Friday.
According to the East Flanders Public Prosecutor, a case for theft by assault and theft with aggravated assault was opened against one suspect and a case for intentional assault and battery with impairment of work has been filed on the other. They are all being investigated for negligence.
Three suspects were released on strict conditions. These included a ban from attending football matches, and a ban from being near supporters' cafes.
