Elgato’s app that turns iPhones into webcams gets AR Snap Lens support

Elgato's streaming company Elgato has announced that EpocCam has been updated to include native support for Snap Lenses AR filters. This functionality is possible thanks to a partnership between Snap and Elgato. Snap already provides similar filters in its Snapchat app as well as with their Snap Camera software. The functionality has been integrated into the EpocCam mobile app.
EpocCam has 15 Snap Lenses. These include customizable filters, virtual backgrounds, masks, and virtual backgrounds. Elgatos promises that you can transform into a digital avatar and color your hair. You can also interact with animated characters. According to Elgatos, the company plans to add more filters in the future.

Elgato claims that EpocCam allows you to use your iPhone as an internetcam in a variety of services such as Zoom, Teams, OBS Studio, and OBS Studio. This means that these filters can transform your appearance, regardless of whether you are streaming, participating in a work call, or using the webcam. This could theoretically have been possible using the Snap Camera and EpocCam apps. However, it is now all integrated and officially supported by one piece of software.

EpocCam can be downloaded for free on iOS. The $7.99 version adds additional features such as the ability to use your iPhone's microphone and removes the softwares Watermark from your feed. There is no Android version.
