Stardew Valley creator reveals next game, Haunted Chocolatier

Eric Barone, better known as ConcernedApe, is the Stardew Valley creator. He has now announced ConcernedApes Haunted Chocolatier. This game expands on Stardew Valley's formula and features a haunted chocolate ghost.
You will be a chocolatier in this haunted castle game. The games website explains that you must gather rare ingredients and make delicious chocolates to succeed in your new role.

Stardew Valley is very similar to the new title. Barone's meticulous pixel art, animations and animations look almost identical to the previous title. Barone has not yet said if the new title will be a sequel to Stardew Valley, or if it is set in the same universe at this stage.

Barone, in an FAQ posted on the games website, explains how Haunted Chocolatetier is similar to his previous game and what makes it different. He describes the new title more as an action-RPG.

Haunted Chocolatier, like Stardew Valley is another town game. You move to a different town and attempt a new way for living. You'll meet the people of the town, make progress and achieve your goals. All this is very similar to Stardew Valley. The core gameplay and the theming of Haunted Chocolatier are very different. Haunted Chocolatier has a more action-RPG feel than Stardew Valley. Instead of having a farm as the center of your efforts, it's a chocolate shop.

Haunted Chocolatier is in development for approximately a year. Barone has not yet committed to a release date, or even a window of time. Barone does mention that the title is currently only for single-player and has no plans to make it multiplayer. However, he is confident that Haunted Chocolatier will be available on other platforms.
