Erling Haaland wants £30m-per-year wages as Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Real Madrid eye bid - sources

Sources have revealed that Erling Haaland will earn wages of at least $30 million per year if he leaves Borussia Dortmund next summer for a new club. Other clubs include Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Haaland, 21 years old, can leave Dortmund at the close of this season if a club activates his 75m ($87m), release clause at Signal Iduna Park. ESPN has been told by sources that the fee will rise due to a substantial payment made to Haaland's agents for brokering a deal.

ESPN was informed by senior members of interested clubs that Haaland is seeking a deal that would allow him to earn more than 500,000 per week. ESPN reached out to Haaland camp in order to get a response.

Haaland rejected United's offer to sign him during the 2019-20 transfer window and chose to join Dortmund instead. This is despite the high cost.

ESPN reported last month that United has maintained contact with Haaland camp even though they missed out on the player in January 2020. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United's manager, gave Haaland his debut with Molde as a teenager and they have maintained a strong relationship.

Premier League champions City and Champions League winners Chelsea are still in the hunt for Haaland's signature. Sources tell ESPN that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are further behind.

Since joining Dortmund almost two years ago, Haaland has scored 70 goals across 69 games. Before his move to Germany, Haaland had played 27 games for Salzburg and scored 29 goals. He also scored a hat-trick against Genk in September 2019, his Champions League debut.

He also scored 12 goals in 15 games for Norway. If they beat Latvia or the Netherlands in the final round, they could be able to guide them to the World Cup finals.
