The former president's media company is off to a difficult start.
TRUTH Social
Donald Trump, a former employee of the government, announced yesterday that he will be returning triumphantly to social media following his unceremoniously exclusion from Twitter and Facebook earlier in the year. He did this via his own social network.
According to a press release, Trump Media & Technology Group was created by the former president and current complainer in chief. The company plans to launch TRUTH Social, a social network that will compete with the liberal media consortium. A beta launch is scheduled for the first quarter 2022.
Trump stated in the release that he created TRUTH Social as well as TMTG to resist the tyranny and Big Tech. While the Taliban is a prominent presence on Twitter, your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable. It is unacceptable.
Security breach
Competence may be a problem, as with many Trump World plans. TRUTH Social has already suffered a security breach, which allowed users to sign up for accounts and access them even though they have not launched yet.

The site isn't officially open but Mikael Thalen (tech writer for Daily Dot) reported that a URL was found which allows users to sign in.
Thalen even set up an account with the screen name @donaldtrump, seemingly taking the ex-president's social media handle.

An embarrassing start
According to Thalen, the issue was part of TRUTH's mobile beta and has been removed from the internet. It's still a poor start for the company.

After inciting the January 6th riot at the US Capitol Building, Trump was expelled from all major social media platforms. Since then, hes stuck to airing out his thoughts via stream-of-consciousness press releases as well as a brief stint at a failed blog.
However, it's unlikely hell will have the same reach or impact as he had when he was on Twitter. We might also not see TRUTH Social last if it ends up being like Trump's steak company, or his airline.
