Singapore Airlines has restored Houston flights

Flying between Houston and Manchester is a fifth freedom flight. This means that you can fly Singapore Airlines only between the United States of America and the United Kingdom if you wish.

Singapore Airlines will use an Airbus A350-900 aircraft for this route. It has a total capacity of 253 seats. There will be 42 business class seats and 24 premium economy seats. There will also be 187 economy seats.

This flight will not operate as part of the Vaccinated Transportation Lane concept. It is however, similar to nonstop Singapore Airlines flights between the United States of America and Singapore. Because those flights are only for passengers who have traveled with them, it limits Singapore Airlines' ability to sell seats between Houston-Manchester.

Given that the United States will be welcoming vaccinated Brits as of November after having been banned from flying since March 2020, it is likely that Singapore Airlines anticipates a lot of demand for their services.

Earn miles to redeem for this Singapore Airlines flight

You can redeem miles for premium Singapore Airlines cabins on long-haul flights by booking directly through KrisFlyer, as the airline does not make these seats available to other partner programs.

These flights offer excellent award availability, regardless of whether you are traveling across the Atlantic or around the world. For 72,000 KrisFlyer points, you can redeem business class for Houston-Manchester.

You can also redeem 99,000 KrisFlyer miles to go all the way from Houston to Singapore.
