With fall in full swing, Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 has given its Kaiwa silhouette a seasonally appropriate colorway. In line with the plentiful pumpkins that signify Halloween, the runner has received an orange makeover.

Putting aside Y-3's elegant black and white palettes in favor of something that's a little more vibrant, this Kaiwa covers the vast majority of its black neoprene base with supple bright orange leather, only leaving portions of the heel and collar exposed. The high-cut tongue adds texture with a large patch of suede and graphic detailing with sizable Y-3 branded embroidery, matching the heel's stamped-on embellishment.

Orange isn't the only alternate hue to be had here either: touches of red leather and suede appear around the eyestays and on the heel. Although the upper is decidedly streamlined, the midsole is comparatively bulky, informing the sneaker's distinctive shape with its raised midfoot and heel pods. These panels yield an unmistakable juxtaposition between the shoe's imposing silhouette and relative light weight. An orange herringbone outsole completes the look.

This new Y-3 Kaiwa is available right now at retailers like Feature for $400 USD.

Meanwhile adidas recently revealed the price for Kanye West's upcoming YEEZY BOOST 700 MNVN.
