After publishing a comprehensive climate change strategy, the UK government was criticised for not showing any carbon emissions savings that any of its measures would achieve.

The UK is currently off track for many of its future carbon targets and the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow is just 12 days away. The net-zero strategy outlined a critical set of policies to cut emissions. It included backing a large nuclear power plant and mandating the sale of electric vehicles.

According to the strategy, the UK's new plans were combined to create a "Strategy".
