Google unveiled a second-generation Pixel Stand wireless charger Tuesday. The charger can charge compatible Pixel phones at up to 23W and Qi-certified devices at up to 15W. The new Pixel Stand features a silent fan that keeps the charger cool and charged at higher speeds. This fan could be similar to those found in recent OnePlus chargers. The stand has not been tested yet so we will have to wait to see if it is as quiet and effective as Google claims.
The second-generation version, like the first Pixel Stand from Google, allows your phone to be used in portrait mode. This could make it easier for you to keep up with notifications and texts as they arrive.
The new Pixel Stand will be $79 but the Google Store page for chargers doesn't provide a release date. It is not yet available for purchase, but Google promises it will be soon.
We are still developing, so we will be adding to this post. You can also follow our Pixel 6 live blog to keep up with the latest news.
