Fred Holidays invested in its employees and increased its product offerings as it restructures its business after a difficult 18 months.
The business plans to double its size over the next year and continue growth beyond October 2022.
The tailormade operator made several appointments to its sales team, including Jenny Wade as key accounts manager and Claire Webb being business development manager.
Fred Holidays described new recruits in the field as experts. Wade worked previously for Viking Cruises, while Webb was at Great Rail Journeys.
Travel agents will be supported by the on-the-road team of Webb, Wade and Briony Worrall who act as business development managers. They also offer face-to–face training on-the road.
Sally Hauser, who previously worked at Great Rail Journeys, is another new hire. Sally Hauser will be the product and sales manager for Fred Holidays. Gemma Saunders, the new assistant reservations manager, previously worked at Thomas Cook and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.
Fred Holidays stated that the industry had used the past 18 months which were extremely difficult for all involved to refocus and rebuild and was now stronger than ever after the pandemic.
The company also has a wider range of tailor-made offerings for rail, river, and land. The company now offers Rail & Sail products and themed departures. It also focuses more on destinations. Each of the new products can be sold by agents who earn commission.
Customers can book the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express including three new routes covering Amsterdam, Florence and Geneva and Rail and Sail itineraries featuring Cunard, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Star Clippers. Prices start at 2,999 per person
Fred Holidays now offers a new product: a nine-day Tulip Serenade and The Floriade Expo 2022 itinerary. This itinerary combines a Rhine cruise aboard Amadeus Silver II and a visit at the Dutch horticulture exhibition in Almere.
Prices starting at 1,699 per person for departure on April 9, 2022 The Floriade Expo tickets are included in the fare.
For a 7-day Bergen & Flm Railways trip between Oslo and Bergen, which takes you through the outer Norwegian Fjords area, prices start at 1,249 per person.
