Founded by industry veterans Tim Morgan (formerly of Virtuoso) and Jeff Sirota (formerly of Small Luxury Hotels of the World) to complement a travel advisors existing agency or consortia relationship, The 1000 plans to solve a common industry problem: how to provide relevant recognition, rewards, and relationship-building to travel advisors based on their individual sales efforts and individual business needs.

The 1000 was created with the support of a global committee of travel advisors and the Club Board, which includes global C-suite executives in travel.

Filip Boyen, CEO, Forbes Travel Guide, UK

Ulla Heffel Bohler is the CEO of Insight Vacations & Luxury Gold in Switzerland

Chris Austin, CSO at Explora Journeys USA

Courtnie Nichols, CEO, Compass Collective, USA

Andrea Grisdale, CEO, IC Bellagio, Italy

Matt Cameron-Smith, CEO, Voyages Indigenous Tourism, Australia

Morgan said that as a new industry emerges from the pandemic, advisors must understand their power and be recognized for their contributions to their clients and suppliers. A new era is upon us, and it requires a different approach.

The 1000 is unique in that it provides an unprecedented recognition platform that allows advisors to see how their success compares with others in their area, country, or world. Advisors can use this recognition to increase their marketing to existing and new clients as well as to supplier partners once they have been verified by The 1000.

Sirota said that knowledge is the key to success. Advisors must understand the power of their sales to create new opportunities. The 1000 will help them to maximize that power and provide the right platform to promote it.

As time goes by, advisors will be able to access a global network of suppliers and travel advisors who share similar interests.

All advisors worldwide are eligible to submit complimentary applications until November 20, 211.
