ITA Volare status match details
ITAs Volare frequent traveler program has a status match campaign running from November 30 to December 31, 2021. The airline offers status matches through 24 airline loyalty programs.
What is the status match? First, register if you are not yet a member in good standing of the ITA Volare Program. Send an email to [email protected] containing the following information once you have registered.
Email Subject: Program of Origin Status of Origin
Text in body: surname, name, program of origin, status of origin
Attach a legible photo of your current valid frequent flyer (digital or physically) and a copy your ID card (pdf format. jpg).
If your status matches, your status will automatically be updated by December 31st 2021 and will remain valid for 12 consecutive months.

Do you need to request an ITA Volare match?
There are many questions and answers about the ITA Volare program.
It is not clear how status will be transferred to the ITA Volare program.
I don't even know what ITA Volares elite tiers look like, or what the benefits are.
Volare frequently flyer accounts may not immediately issue a membership number. It is odd that your membership number is not required to request a status match. I wonder if the program has considered this or if information will be matched on the basis of names, email addresses, etc.
SkyTeam does not yet consider ITA a member airline, but those behind the airline claim that ITA will join them.
It's worth it to check your ITA Volare match status. It's not clear if it will help you fly ITA or if you are flying a partner airline. Or maybe it will just be cool to be an ITA Volare elite Member.
Bottom line
