Phoenix Suns, Mikal Bridges agree to four-year, $90 million rookie contract extension, agents say

His agents Sam Goldfeder of Excel Sports and Jordan Gertler, from Excel Sports, informed ESPN that Mikal Bridges, Phoenix Suns forward and guard, has signed a four-year, $90million rookie contract extension.
The agents stated that Bridges' contract, which averages $22.5 million per season, is fully guaranteed and will begin with the 2022-23 seasons. Goldfeder and Gertler met with Suns general manger James Jones on Sunday afternoon.

Bridges, 25, is a key part of the Suns' revival in the Western Conference. He has established himself as one the most versatile two-way young players in the NBA. Bridges reached career highs with 13.5 points and 4.3 rebounds as well as 2.1 assists and 2.1 assists. He also had one block, one steal, and one assist per game during the Suns' remarkable run to the NBA Finals.

Bridges won two national titles at Villanova and helped to turn around a struggling Phoenix franchise after a draft-night trade brought him to that organization.

Goldfeder stated to ESPN that he won wherever he went. "It's no accident. He is the one who both buys into and sets a culture.

Gertler said, "Mikal worked tirelessly to bring back winning basketball to the Phoenix Suns." His hard work has paid off.

Deadline for rookie extensions by the 2018 draft class is 6 p.m. ET Monday. Sources said that the Suns also discussed deals with guard Landry Shamet and center DeandreAyton.
