On Sunday, a stand in NEC Nijmegen’s Goffertstadion gave way as Vitesse Arnhem supporters celebrated their side’s 1-0 victory in the Eredivisie.

The stand collapsed as supporters leapt in unison in front the players at full-time. However, reports indicate that no one was hurt.

Hubert Bruls was the mayor of Nijmegen and called for an external-link investigation. He said he was shocked by the events.

Nikolai Baden Frederiksen won the first half.

Vitesse moves up to sixth place in the table, and Tottenham will host Premier League side Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Wednesday.

Bruls stated to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that no one was hurt. "I want to see an investigation as soon as possible into what happened."
