British Airways,Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways Returns A380 to Service

COVID-19 was the catalyst that grounded most of the A380 fleets around the globe. One year later, international travel is recovering and more airlines are returning the A380 to the skies.
Singapore Airlines will bring back the A380 in November 2021, with flights to London. British Airways will fly the A380 from the UK into Europe the same month. Surprise move by Qatar Airways, Qatar Airways will fly their A380 from December. These are the details:

Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines will start flying daily the Airbus A380 between Singapore and London from 18 November 2021.

SQ322 Singapore-London departure at 23:45, arriving at 05:55 +1

SQ317 London to Singapore departure 10:55, arriving 07:50 +1

Singapore Airlines A380 flight from London to Singapore will be operated as a "Vaccinated Travel Lane" flight (VTL). This means that all passengers must have been vaccinated.

Vaccination Requirement

Travellers must be fully vaccinated starting 18 October and have valid proof of vaccination in any VTL region or Singapore.

Singapore A380 will have 6 First Class Suites, 78 Business Class seats, 44 Premium Economy Seats and 343 Economy Seats.









British Airways

British Airways will fly the A380 short-haul on November 1st for crew familiarization. These inter-European A380 flights can now be booked and are a great way for you to experience the A380 Jumbo Jet without spending a fortune.

British Airways will operate the following schedule between 8th November and 2nd December 2021:

Frankfurt (FRA), on BA902/903 every day except Saturday and BA908/909 Saturday

Madrid (MAD), on BA462/463 every day except Saturday and BA456/457 Saturday

British Airways A380 will return to long-haul service on the following flights starting 3 December:

British Airways will fly the A380 to Dubai starting 3 December 2021

British Airways will fly the A380 from Miami starting 5/12/2021

British Airways will fly the A380 from London to Los Angeles starting 9th December 2021

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways GCEO HE Akbar Al Baker confirmed that the airline will resume flights operated by the Airbus A380. These flights were believed to have been lost forever. According to the airline, the decision was made after the grounded of 13 A350s due to claims of fuselage decay.

Qatar Airways A380 will return to London Heathrow or Paris on the following flights starting 15 December:
