Although it's been more than a year since Rocksteady & Warner Bros. released their Suicide Squad video game, they are finally giving us another glimpse. A story trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been released. It shows the formation and motivations of Task Force X, which includes Harley Quinn and Deadshot, as well as why your supervillains (Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang) must destroy some of the greatest heroes on Earth.
Brainiac, it turns out has taken control of the Justice League and is now using heroes to cause havoc. Amanda Waller, X organizer, explains that the Task Force is the first unit that made it to Metropolis alive. As Harley and his crew seem to be "ticking," it is clear that Harley, along with their fellow volunteers, are not eager volunteers. The trailer also features Superman, Green Lantern, and The Flash. Even The Penguin makes an appearance.
This trailer doesn't show any gameplay and the developers haven’t set a release date other than 2022 for the PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X/S versions. This trailer gives you an idea of what you can expect: lots of humor, a world that is turned upside down, and almost no violence. It is now up to Rocksteady to build on its Batman games reputation and deliver action that is on par with the teaser footage.
