Just days remain before Google's October 19th launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. However, if you want to get an early glimpse at what you can expect, check out this massive thread of leaked images by Evan Blass. This thread contains images of the phones as well as images of cases and photos of users using the phones. I found the last group of images to be the most intriguing.
Since early renderings of the Pixel 6 lineup were posted online, I have wondered why Google placed a huge camera bar across both phones' backs. It didn't appeal to me and the bar isn't flush with the backs of the phones, I was worried it would cause them to wobble when placed on a desk.
Blass' photo dump contains twelve photos of actual users using the phones. These photos made me think about the Pixel 6s design. The camera bar and two-tone colors give the Pixel 6s a distinctive look you won't be able mistaken for any other phone. Even if someone doesn't know what the Pixel 6 looks like, they wont mistake it for an iPhone. This unique appearance might be enough to convince people to buy a Pixel 6.
Another set of photos answered my question about the Pixel 6: how it would look in a case. Blass has shared images that Google's official cases will fit around its camera bump. However, the edges around the bump look to have a ridge so the phone won't lie flat even with the cases.
Blass also shared renderings of the Pixel 6 Pro in silver/gray, black and gold. Since Google revealed the design and colors of these phones in August, the renders are not surprising.
Blass also leaked photos of the new phones last week. These included images of a new Pixel Stand wireless charging charger. Another leak claims that it supports wireless charging at 23W. The Pixel 6 will be out in no time so keep your eyes on The Verge to see our coverage.
