A nice lecture from Matthew on genetics and human evolution

Matthew delivered a virtual lecture about genetics and evolution to the Cardiff University School of Medicine the other day. This lecture was meant for the general public and was posted to YouTube. I have listened to it. This has been the most informative thing I've ever heard. This field is constantly changing and there are many more surprises. There are still mysteries about what we know, such as why did the Neanderthals vanish?
Matthew concludes his talk by asking the question: What is it like to be human? He also reminisces on the lessons and implications from recent genetic studies in anthropology. Matthew's enthusiasm for the subject and his knowledge make him a popular lecturer and have earned him awards for teaching.

At 54:00, the formal lecture is over. Matthew then answers questions from the audience.
