Ailment

Ailment is a sci-fi shooting game that's top-down and features a lot of horror elements and movie references. You will have to kill many enemies and guns, complete a solo campaign, and use PvP to improve your skills. This is a graphic and brutal game so it's not for the faint of heart. It's still a fun game. VPN Deals: A lifetime license costs $16, and monthly plans start at $1. You must kill the evil crew to escape. There's humor, references to pop culture, and media all throughout the book that will keep you laughing. It's also great to see retro pixel art. You can battle strangers or friends in a fight until the end with the PvP side. To customize your gameplay, you can get a variety guns and skins.

Ailment: This top-down, brutal shooter is fun with plenty of references and killing to keep you entertained. Google Play Store: Free with ads and IAPs

AnimA

This ARPG is for loot fans out there. AnimA is not like Titan Quest which stands out from Diablo by its build diversity and setting, but it pays homage to Blizzard's Franchise. You know what? That's okay, because the game is amazing on its own merits. The fonts might look familiar, but Diablo fans will still love the gameplay loop, dark atmosphere, and the many enemies you can kill. I spent many hours playing AnimA in an attempt to get more loot. It's free to play and has microtransactions. But they're not bad.

AnimA AnimA, an isometric ARPG, features a fun gameplay/loot loop and pretty visuals along with a dark storyline. This is a great option for Diablo players. You can also get it for free, with very few microtransactions. Google Play Store: Free with IAPs

Battlelands Royale

Battlelands Royale, a mobile battle royale game, combines cartoony graphics with a top-down view and a simple last man standing gameplay format. It works well. The game is great for casual gaming as it only takes a few minutes to play through a match. You parachute down to a map along with a few other players (32 total) and must scavenge weapons, ammo and armor while remaining in the safety zone and eliminating your enemies. You have the option to play alone or in duos depending on your preference. Each match is varied enough to keep it interesting. There are microtransactions that allow you to purchase cosmetics or emotes. This is quite common for this type of game. Even so, Battlelands Royale is quite a fun game.

Battlelands Royale This battle royale is made for mobile. Casual play is easy with games that last just a few seconds each. Google Play Store: Free with IAPs

Dandara

Dandara, a beautiful Metroidvania, was well-received both on the console and PC. You can use gravity to leap off ceilings and walls. Dandara is different from modern Metroidvanias such as Hollow Knight and Dead Cells in that it runs at a faster pace. It doesn't have the perma death of Hollow Knight or the subterranean setting of Dead Cells, but the overall pace of the game is comparable to platformers like Celeste. The Trials of Fear update adds three new areas, a boss, power-ups and many other features to this version of the game. This is an amazing game, and I believe you will enjoy it. You can also use the controller.

The Play Store has a great Metroidvania called Dandara Dandara. You will find a lot of content, so it is worth your time and money. Get it for $4 on the Google Play Store

Dead Cells

Dead Cells was released on Android some time ago. It was well worth the wait. This is one of the most enjoyable indies of the past decade. This game combines brutal, tough combat many like Dark Souls with a rogue-like character to make sure every death is painful. Every time you fail, you can get up from your cell and start over. You can also learn from your mistakes and do better the next time. It is extremely well designed and supports controllers. Although the touchscreen controls are excellent, it is hard to beat external controllers. Dead Cells is so great that I highlighted it as Game of the Week. This game is a joy to me. Dead Cells is a great game for anyone who wants to face a challenging challenge with dangerous enemies, loot and build diversity. It's my favorite game on the Play Store at the moment.

Dead Cells is one of the most popular indie games and it finally arrived on Android. Although it is difficult, this game is a lot of fun. Google Play Store: $9

Death Road to Canada

You want it to have good replay value if you are going to spend money on a video game. Death Road To Canada is a great choice in this regard. You will be faced with a zombie apocalypse and must lead a team of scrappy characters on a dangerous mission to Canada's relative safety. You'll have to manage your team's morale and health while you explore and loot locations for supplies. Every playthrough of Death Road to Canada will be unique because everything is generated randomly. Death Road to Canada supports controllers which I consider a huge plus. You can create your own characters and even meet them on your journey. This game is so much fun and worth the $10. You can replay the game almost endlessly because there's so much to choose from.

Death Road to Canada Death road to Canada is a well-known game on our list of top games. It's a great game with a lot of replay value. $10 on Google Play Store

Downwell

Downwell, a retro-style rogue-like board game, is where you have to jump down a well and see how far it falls. It sounds simple, right? The well is not empty of enemies. You can shoot them down while you are there, which helps you sort of float. Do you need a story? When all you want is action, who needs a story? This game is easy to learn, but it's also very accessible thanks to its simple controls and cool music. Every game is different, and new weapon upgrades are added randomly. You can also choose an extra power-up at the end of each stage to aid you.

Downwell Downwell is a great game. Enjoy the retro styling and see how far you can get. Google Play Store $3

Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact, an open-world action-adventure game, has been a huge success. The game draws a lot of inspirations from The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, but that's not a problem because the story is very engaging and the graphics are stunning. Genshin Impact is a fun game that can be played for hours. You'll understand why once you give it a try. The game's greatest weakness is its monetization. You can play it on your mobile device, PC or PS4 (with cross-save between PC/mobile), but there are hefty inapp purchases and an abrupt halt to the endgame grind. Although it can be frustrating, that is exactly what you will deal with. I love Genshin Impact a lot. Gacha mechanics for creating new characters and weapons aren’t too difficult, and Genshin Impact is good enough to make you feel good about the developer and pay some money. You can expect a long grind if you choose to pay nothing.

Genshin Impact Genshin Impact, a gacha open world action-adventure video game, is one of the newest players on the block. It draws a lot from Breath of the Wild. It's great, despite some reservations about the monetization model. Google Play Store: Free with IAPs

Grimvalor

Grimvalor is an action RPG with side-scrolling controls. It has excellent movement capabilities, tight controls, and a familiar, albeit interesting, story. This was my first choice for games until I became addicted to other ones. It is important to think strategically about how you approach your enemies and level up your character. There are many secrets and places to explore on the map. The world wants you to fail. But, don't let that stop you from taking up your sword and fighting on. The odds are against your side most of the time. It's up to you to overcome them. The first act is free. After that, you will need to pay $7 for the entire game. This tactic is great because it allows you to experience the game in its entirety and then you can choose to pay to continue. Give it a shot and see if it works for you.

Grimvalor Grimvalor is an action RPG that's also a platformer. You will enjoy the great combat and exploration. You even get a trial demo before purchasing. You get $7 free to unlock

Huntdown

Huntdown's future looks pretty grim. Gang leaders rule the streets and their aides cause terror and havoc wherever they go. Your job as one of three bounty hunters is to bring order back to the chaos and take down each one one by one. You'll be armed to the teeth, with every weapon possible (guns, chainsaws and a guitar among others), and you will need to platform yourself to reach each level's boss. Huntdown's greatest draw is Huntdown's short but difficult levels. The satisfaction that comes with completing them is unparalleled. This is action-platforming at its best with a slick '80s veneer. The music is great, 16-bit graphics are retro fun and the game has attitude and style. Huntdown has no ads and you can only make an $8.49 in-app purchase after you have completed the demo stages.

Huntdown Explore the neon-lit streets of Huntdown, a city that has been ravaged by gang warfare. This action-platformer is a high-octane challenge! $8.49 on Google Play Store

ICEY

ICEY is a 2D side scrolling action game in which you play the title character, a cybernetic warrior who kicks serious legs. It plays perfectly with tight controls. As you progress, new skills can be unlocked and improved. If ICEY were a side-scrolling action-game, it would still be on this list. This is just the beginning. There's a whole meta-narrative here that explores the relationship between player and narrator. This is a truly unique game, especially for mobile.

ICEY A side-scroller with deeper truths that is worth your time. This meta-narrative is worth exploring. Google Play Store $3

Injustice 2

Injustice 2 is the sequel of Injustice: Gods Among Us. It is also the best fighting game for Android. You'll love the sequel if you enjoyed the original game. It features more fantasy fight matches between your favorite DC Universe heroes and villains. You can unlock new heroes and create your ultimate team while fighting in 3 vs 3. The fights are 3 vs 3, with the option to swap fighters if necessary. You'll find the usual suspects, Batman, Superman and Joker as well as Harley Quinn and a whole host of new villains and heroes that you will discover as you play.

Injustice 2, A brawler for DC fans. Injustice 2 features lots of fighting action with your favourite heroes and villains. Google Play Store: Free with IAPs

JYDGE

JYDGE is a top-down twin-stick shooter with a violent plot that's a blast to play. Your role is that of the JYDGE. You are a cybernetic enforce officer who uses his Gavel to deliver RoboCop-style justice. Each level has its own challenges, but they don't feel like tedious work. You can upgrade JYDGE's gavel by stealing illegal cash. JYDGE's predecessor Neon Chrome retains its rogue-like aspect by allowing you to replay levels with various upgrade combinations until you have completed all the challenges. JYDGE delivers a great mix of gameplay and an engaging soundtrack. It's essential for a game like this to keep you coming back to replay levels.

JYDGE JYDGE, a top-down rogue-like shooter, is a great choice. This gritty cyberpunk dystopia does justice to the truth. $10 on Google Play Store

Pascal's Wager

Pascal's Wager can be described as an intriguing game. It's often called Dark Souls for Android. It's an action RPG that bears many Souls-like characteristics. It is set in a dark medieval setting and combat can be difficult. You get the idea. It is all about the playable characters. You can't make a character and then lock yourself into it. You can instead choose a character you like and swap between those you have unlocked at any time, outside of combat. You don't need to spec points in your build. Instead, you can try out wildly different play styles. Pascal's Wager tries very hard to be Dark Souls, and that's okay. It is highly recommended that you use a controller. You'll be much more likely to die than with touchscreen controls. This controller is also expensive and comes with no nonsense.

Pascal's Wager Described as "Dark Souls for Android", Pascal's Wager offers a challenging and brutal game for those who love the Souls-like genre. Use a controller to play. $7 on the Google Play Store

Penarium

Penarium, a platformer that is tough as nails, was created by Team 17 (who you may most likely remember from the Worms series). Penarium, unlike Worms, is a fast-paced strategy game that required quick reflexes in order to survive. The story of Willy, a small-sized farm boy who longs for adventure and adventure is told in Penarium. Willy runs away to have some fun and excitement when a circus shows up in town. Penarium is a sadistic circus that has come to town. It is both dark and light-hearted.

Penarium Survive and win the circus, or you'll die trying. The crowd will see you fail. $2.49 on Google Play Store

Redungeon

It's no stretch to say that roguelikes are enjoying a resurgence of popularity, thanks to great hits like Dead Cells or Hades. Android offers some great alternatives to consoles. Redungeon is an endless dungeon crawler that features randomized dungeons and increasing difficulty levels. It also has adorable pixel art. Redungeon's gameplay may not seem complicated but it is difficult to stay alive in the midst of all its traps. You play Redungeon like an obstacle course. Your main goal is to collect treasures, and get as far as possible in one go. To control your characters, you can use either touch-screen swipe controls or on-screen buttons. I find that both are easy to use and responsive. You can unlock different characters, each with their own abilities. Creep A. Crow is an adorable scarecrow that can jump over single spaces with ease. Redungeon can be played without ads or in-app purchase. You can make an optional in-app purchase to remove ads or to make additional in-app purchases for more coins. However, coins can be obtained by simply playing the game. The monetization system is fair and refreshingly fair. Redungeon is a great action-packed game that you should try if you have missed it.

Suzy Cube

Suzy Cube is an adventure game that spans multiple levels. Each level presents a different challenge. Suzy Cube offers hours of platforming fun with gamepad support. Find power-ups to help you find the right levels and recover your castle's gold stolen. Suzy Cube has been in development for years. This action-packed platformer was developed by an independent game developer and is a must-play on mobile. It features touch controls that are as great as they deserve. The graphics and gameplay can be compared to Super Mario 3D Land on the Nintendo 3DS. It is also far better than Mario's mobile debut, Super Mario Run. This is a charming adventure for 3D platformer lovers and I love it to death. It's a lot of fun.

Suzy Cube A 3D platformer that's cute and fun, this game is called Suzy Cube. Find your castle's stolen gold, and get power-ups as you go. $6 on Google Play Store

Tesla vs Lovecraft

Tesla vs Lovecraft, another fantastic game by Finnish developers 10tons Ltd is a real treat. The game pits Nikola Tesla, his hi-tech inventions, against a vengeful H.P. Lovecraft, who has unleashed endless numbers of nightmare-like monsters. It is a highly polished game with twin-stick controls for shooting and moving. As more enemies are spawned at once, the campaign gets harder. There are well over 200 enemies that can be found on the screen so you need to be quick with your trigger finger. There are many power-ups and perks that can be accessed in a rogue-like manner. The game's touchscreen controls are very comfortable and it also supports Bluetooth controllers, which is always a great feature in premium games. The base game has a lot of content, but there's also DLC that adds new weapons and monsters. You don't have to worry about the game feeling polished. However, once you've explored all that Tesla vs Lovecraft has for you, you may be happy there's still a lot more.
