Clubhouse has added a new music mode to its platform this week. This is a further demonstration of its commitment to social audio in all its forms. The new music mode will allow musicians to play on the social network with their own set of tools to maximize sound quality. It will first be available for iOS before being rolled out to Android.
Although Clubhouse did not go into audiophile territory with this announcement, the company stated that the new feature would enable users to broadcast with great quality and stereo sound prerequisites in order to provide rich listening experiences. Clubhouse will now be able to connect professional-level audio equipment such as mixing boards and microphones.
Clubhouse made a second investment in audio quality and spatial audio in late August. This feature gives listeners the impression that speakers in one of its group rooms are speaking from different locations. It is more like how we perceive real-life social interactions.
To enable music mode, tap the three dots at the top right and select audio quality. Then select music. Clubhouse has moved its search bar to top of the feed. Users can also wave at one another through the iOS search bar.
