Clubhouse has a new Music Mode that could make it the place to play

Although Clubhouse faces a lot of competition from large companies looking to take over the live audio space in this market, it could be gaining an advantage in one way. The company is launching a new Music Mode, which could make it easier to listen to and play live music. This comes ahead of Amazon's reported entry in that space and Twitter's introduction of ticketed spaces that allow musicians to host shows. Spotify also has its own audio app.
According to Clubhouse's blog, the new Music Mode allows musicians to broadcast their music in high quality. Although Clubhouse does not define high quality, it does mention that professional equipment can be connected to the app and used during broadcasts. Spatial audio was added to Clubhouse in August. This makes conversations sound more like a group of people than a simple audio call.

Music Mode can be easily turned on by simply tapping the three dots at the top of the room. Next, select Audio Quality and then Music. You can listen to the performance without having to do anything. Instead, just relax and enjoy stereo audio through your headphones, speakers or phone.

Clubhouse also pointed out that the Clips feature, which allows you to capture a 30-second video, will also support stereo sound. This means that if you save a clip of a Music Mode performance, the audio quality will not change. Clubhouse states that Music Mode will initially be available only on iOS but will soon be available for Android.

Clubhouse has updated its search function, in addition to Music Mode. The search bar will now be displayed in a more convenient place at the top of your hallway. You can also Wave to friends from the search bar. This feature allows you to quickly invite friends into a live audio chat room.

Amazon is not Clubhouse's only competitor for live audio. Clubhouse learned its lesson last year when Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn created their own audio-only chatrooms. Clubhouse was in an invite-only status at the time, which made it difficult for the app's growth. Clubhouse is now thriving and wants to keep all the advantages.
