Save 50% on Hilton Points
Hilton Honors offers a 50% discount on points purchased through Tuesday, December 7, 2021 As long as you buy at least 7,000 points in a single transaction, this bonus will kick in. This offer allows you to purchase as many as 80,000 points.
Hilton points can be purchased for one cent per point (incl. tax). This means that you would pay just 0.5 cents per Point with a 50% discount. You could buy 80,000 Honors points if you used this offer to its full extent for only $400
Hilton allows you to combine points from different accounts for free. You could actually get a lot more points by buying points across accounts and consolidating them. This is useful in situations where you or a family member are eligible for a larger bonus.
Hilton Honors points expire 12 months after inactivity. However, any activity will reset the expiration date.

Should You Purchase Hilton Points for 0.5 Cents Per Head?
Hilton made a radical change to its Honors program several years ago. Hilton dropped its award chart and switched to variable pricing.
There is still value and the program has largely capped the number of points hotels can charge. Standard rooms cost 95,000 points per night. You will see higher prices at certain hotels, but this is only when standard rooms are not available. Two exceptions to this rule are Waldorf Astoria properties located in Los Cabos or the Maldives. These properties can cost as high as 120,000 points and 150,000 respectively.
Before and after the changes, I valued Hilton Honors points at 0.5c per piece. This is roughly what I value them. There are situations where Hilton points can be worth more than this.
In late 2018, I stayed at Conrad Bora Bora. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is a great choice and I will definitely return.

Points pricing is variable throughout the year. However, the property generally costs 89,000 points per evening. Honors elite members get the fifth night for free when they redeem their award points.
If you stay for five nights, you get a fifth night free with 89,000 Honors points per day. This means that you'll pay an average of 71.200 Honors points per evening. This is a remarkable deal, as it costs only 0.5 cents per Point.
Let's look at this in comparison to the normal non-peak season paid rate. You would pay $7,000.00 if you stayed five nights with the same cancelation policy.

Alternativly, you can redeem 320,000 Honors Points. These points can be purchased for as little as 0.5 cents per piece, which is equivalent to $1,780. This is a 75% discount, and it also gives you a more flexible cancellation policy.

You can also get value at mid-range hotels in many other circumstances. I have also used 30,000 Honors points to book a stay at the Hilton Tallinn. The paid rate for the hotel would have been more than $500, but this was because of an event in the area. Talk about an incredible deal.

Hilton also adjusted its Points & Money Awards, which allow you to redeem part of your points and cash towards any redemption. You can earn more than 0.5 cents per point in many cases.
Which credit card should you use to buy Hilton Points?
Hilton points purchases processed by points.com do not count as hotel purchases for credit card purposes.
So I recommend that you use a card with a minimum amount of spending or a credit card that maximizes your return for everyday spending such as the Citi Double Cash Card (review) and Chase Freedom Unlimited (review).
