Arizona Cardinals receive three positive COVID-19 tests this week, source says

TEMPE (Ariz.) -- Three positive COVID-19 testing were performed by the Arizona Cardinals this week, according to a source. This means that they are one step closer to entering intensive protocols.
This would lead to more testing for personnel and players.

According to a source, the positive tests included one player and two staff members.

Because of a positive result, Chandler Jones, Cardinals linebacker was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 roster Tuesday. Coach Kliff Kingsbury stated that Jones was feeling symptomatic on Wednesday.

Jones has been vaccinated. To be allowed to return to the Cardinals, Jones must have at least two negative tests within 24 hours and remain symptomatic for 48 hours.

Right tackle Kelvin Beachum stated that "guys just try masking up and we have to test to ensure that guys are ready to go." We just do our best to ensure safety. It is unfortunate that someone of his calibre tests positive at this point in the season. However, as a team, we have to find a way for us to be safe and prevent any spreading in our locker room or in the building.
