Check out Chromebook’s new accessibility features

We are announcing today new voices in Select-to-speak that sound more like humans. This will help to make spoken text more fluid and easy to understand. Natural voices are available in 25 languages, with more on the way.
We worked closely with educators and individuals who are dyslexic to develop this feature. Their experience was that reading text out loud improves comprehension, especially in educational settings. It is easier to follow along with highlighted content if you use natural voices, such as a local accent.

You can try it by turning on Select-to-speak and choosing your preferred voice in Chromebook settings. Next, select the text that you wish to be read aloud and then press the Everything Button/ Launcher Key + S.
