Twitter is bringing Ticketed Spaces to Android users in the U.S. – TechCrunch

Twitter announced that Android users will soon be able to purchase tickets for Ticketed Spaces in the United States. Spaces hosts, which is Twitter's live audio room, will be able now to sell access for Ticketed Spaces. After the initial TicketedSpaces rollout for iOS users in August, the Android launch follows.
The first Ticketed Spaces applications opened June 1st for Android and iOS users over 18. They have hosted three Spaces in 30 days and have at most 1,000 followers. Twitter encourages Android users to apply to Ticketed Spaces, and provide feedback about the new feature.

Social media giant Facebook notes that this feature is a way of supporting creators for their efforts in moderating and hosting public conversations. Creators have the option to use Ticketed Spaces for workshops, discussions, and meet-and-greets. Twitter stated previously that it would take a 3 per cent cut of creators' earnings through Ticketed Spaces.

If a Space is a Ticketed Space then users will have the option to buy a ticket at the price the host has determined. A DM may contain a link that will allow users to buy tickets from a participant in the Ticketed Spa.

Twitter's Ticketed Spaces allows it to stand out from Instagram and Clubhouse, which have neither implemented advance ticket sales.
