EA Sports announced today that Jon Gruden, former Raiders coach, will be removed form Madden NFL 22 and will be replaced by a generic character. This change will take place in the next few weeks. It will be rolled out automatically as a title update.
Gruden, Raiders head coach, resigned on October 11th after he was accused of sending homophobic and racist emails for years to his colleagues.
EA Sports stated that Jon Gruden's resignation had prompted the decision to take steps to remove Gruden from Madden NFL 22. In the next few weeks, we will replace him by a generic likeness through a title update.
Madden NFL 22, the latest version of the legendary American football series was released on August 20th for PC and PlayStation 4. It is also available for Xbox One and PlayStation 5.
