Luna Display can now turn your iPad into a second screen for Windows devices

The Astropads Luna Display can be used to convert an iPad or other Mac into a wireless monitor for Apple's computers. The company now supports Windows PCs with its wireless dongles. This is a significant step for the company, after Apples Sidecar made it an integral part of iPadOS and MacOS.
Luna Display 5.0 supports Windows. It requires Windows 10 64bit, Build 1809, or later and iPadOS 12.1, according Astropad. This means that modern Windows devices can be used with iPads in many configurations.

Luna Display for Windows will be available in two connectors for your Windows devices: USB-C or HDMI. The older USB-C Luna Display owners can also update to support Windows, starting immediately. Astropad claims that the restructuring done for its 5.0 release means that setting up Luna Display on M1 Macs will be quicker.

Luna Display was launched by Astropad in 2017. This was two years after Apple added the Sidecar feature to macOS Catalina. As a result of Apple's move, Luna Display was updated to wirelessly work between Macs shortly thereafter. Astropad CEO Matt Ronge posted the following tweet: "Apple zigs, We zag,"

Astropad was open about the copying experience, even suggesting that it was a blessing in disguise when they announced that Windows support was being tested in beta. Other companies preferred to take legal action. It launched the Kickstarter for the new Luna Display for Windows dongles on September 30, 2020. The campaign was successful just one hour later. This functionality is a must-have for Windows users, and Astropad has finally made it available.

Luna Display costs $129 for Mac and PC. It has port options for USB, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, and USB-C.
