The tech industry is busy in fall, and it's not slowing down. Apple will unveil its M1X MacBook Pros on Monday, October 18. Google confirmed that it will host its Pixel 6 event on Tuesday, October 19.
Samsung today announced that it will hold a second Unpacked event on Wednesday, 20 October where it will reveal something.
Samsung is not the first company to announce Unpacked Part 2, which they call it. Samsung has already revealed its flagship phones for the second half, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 (and Flip 3), respectively. At least not for this year, there is no Galaxy Note. This event is unlikely to be anything extraordinary unless Samsung comes up with something really special.
Samsung's announcement states:
Our users are multifaceted, and live a life that is full of surprises and joy. The technology they use each day should reflect this diversity. Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 will be available on October 20th. To see more about how Samsung is opening new opportunities for self-expression via technology, visit Galaxy Unpacked Part 2.
Although it doesn't reveal much, it seems like Samsung will announce a way to personalize their phones' color schemes. This is especially evident when viewed in conjunction with the teaser video. There may be new software features, but I don't see Samsung hosting an event for this purpose.
Rumours of an S21 Fan Edition have circulated, but recent rumors suggest that it is being planned for 2021.
It's really anyone's guess, considering the lack of leaks. We will find out more over the next few weeks, but don't expect anything to be too spectacular. On October 20, at 10 AM ET, the event will be streamed on Samsung's YouTube channel.
