Boston man allegedly harasses Asian women dancing to K-pop for 'communism' and mask wearing

TikTok has made a viral video of a man who harassed Asian women for wearing masks and dancing to Kpop in public.

What happened: TikTok user @celenana_na was filming a routine for Hush Crew in Boston's Downtown Crossing when the incident took place. They realized that the conversation they thought was normal escalated when the man started to talk about communism.

@celenana_na stated that the group was still in take when the man first approached them. They were not bothered by the fact that others approached them to ask questions about their work.

@celenana_na stated that they thought the man was making fun of them for wearing masks. She recalled that when he began to talk about communism, it was clear that he was racist towards us.

@celenana_na claimed that the man approached her boyfriend first. When the man became increasingly close to her space, she decided to film it.

The man, who is trying to grab @celenana_nas' phone, says "Stay down!" In response, she yells, "No, this is America!" I can do what the f*ck i want. He gets to wear my mask, I get to wear mine.

A third man is also seen approaching the scene in the video. To keep the group safe, he reportedly pulled the man in belligerence to his side.

Reactions: Since its original posting, the video has been viewed more than 2,000,000 times. Many TikTok users condemned this man's actions and supported @celenana_na, her group.

A group of pretty girls dancing makes a grown man feel threatened. One user commented that it was embarrassing for him.

Others believe that the man should face charges of assault. Some others believe the incident was not surprising, as it took place in Downtown Crossing which is a diverse and still racist area.

Others made comments about the man's race. @celenana_na addresses this in her follow up video. This clip has nothing to do his race. It's about how we were singled out because we were wearing communist masks.

@celenana_na discouraged people also from following the man: This was a minor incident. She noted that it was not worth him losing anything if he is found.
