Dr. Anthony Fauci said: It's OK to celebrate Halloween this year.
CNN's chief medical advisor for the White House spoke on Sunday to outline his recommendations to parents who wish to take their children trick-or-treating. He reiterated the importance of getting vaccinated but also stated that people could safely go trick-or treating.

Fauci stated to CNN that Halloween is a great time to reflect on the reasons why it's important to get vaccinated. Enjoy Halloween, but don't forget to get out there.

He suggested that parents think of the vaccine as an additional level of protection for themselves and their children, and to your family, and to your community. But, trick-or-treating can still be fun outdoors.

He said that this is a time children enjoy. This is an important part of the school year for children.

According to The New York Times, emergency use of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), was approved in May for children aged 12-15 years old. More than 8.2 Million children in this age group have received the vaccine since authorization.

According to the NYT, Pfizer-BioNTech recently applied for emergency authorization for children aged five-to-11 years old. This could result in more than 28,000,000 Americans being protected against the coronavirus.
