Reddit today announced that Pali Bhat, the ex-vice-president for product and design at Google Cloud has been appointed as its first Chief Product Officer. Bhat will oversee Reddits product organization as well as lead the development of tools for the platform.
Bhat reports directly to Steve Huffman, Reddit CEO. According to the company, Bhat will facilitate and lead the creation of tools and features that help Reddit users feel connected and part of the community.
Bhat has over 15 years experience in leading products and teams across various developer platforms, consumer services and services including many Google flagship services.
Prior to joining Reddit, Bhat held senior leadership roles for more than 10 years at Google where he most recently led a nearly-thousand-person team of engineers, product managers, user experience designers, and researchers across a high-growth product suite. Bhat also served as vice-president for product management, leading Google's global payment products. Bhat was previously a leader at McKinsey & Co. and SAP Labs.
