After his win over Anthony Fowler, Liam Smith celebrates

Many people have a typical weekend: a Saturday night with a lot of football and Sunday league football.

However, most people won't spend Saturday night winning the WBA super-welterweight title.

Liam Smith, however, did it and then turned up for Custys FC Liverpool on Sunday. He scored as well.

The 33-year old wore the number nine shirt against Allerton and scored a goal just before half-time. His team won 10-0.

He had received a cut above the right eye during the fight against Anthony Fowler in round one.

Smith was a WBO light-middleweight champion. This is the same category that is used for super-welterweight. Different governing bodies give the division different names.

Fowler was defeated by Fowler in the eighth round. He won the WBA title with a dominant performance at Liverpool's M&S Arena.

What is Monday's rest day? Most likely not.
