Alabama was among the two top-five losing teams on Saturday. This opened up opportunities for many teams to reach rare heights.

The Bulldogs hold the top ranking for 16 years, and this is their first unanimous No. 1.

Auburn was eliminated from the rankings after it lost for the second consecutive season. Georgia's dominating defense made them the latest victims.
